I’m a baker by night (and weekends!) and a corporate pharmaceutical manager by day. I’m a self-taught baker that has always had a passion for baking. My passion stems from the fact that it is the perfect blend of art and science. I love creating visually pleasing desserts and have a massive sweet tooth so it was a no-brainer to start Amelia & Rose.
Amelia & Rose is named in honor of my late grandmothers, both immigrants from the Philippines; Amelia, a stoic, independent business woman and Rosenda (Rose), a tremendous cook and avid gardener. Rose’s love for flowers has certainly passed down generations as clearly reflected in the company’s floral aesthetics.
In the later half of 2023, I set up a physical location in a co-op shop in Metuchen, NJ. In this space, we’ve expanded our offerings to macarons, cupcakes, cakesicles, bars, cookies, and more and have been able to host cake and macaron painting workshops.
The support and encouragement of my family, friends, and clients throughout the years has given me the confidence to take the next big step— we’re currently in the process of setting up a location in Montclair, NJ! I am truly excited for what the future has in store and hope to continue to make custom cakes and treats for all of your special occasions!
